There are two classes of "XP is great" users:
#1:
Those who have older hardware and don't want to upgrade whatsoever.

#2:
Those who are too set in their ways (ie: my dad :P) and refuse to update, or upgrade their hardware or systems.

I've been using Vista for a year + , and have found it personally to be MUCH more stable than XP. On the contrary, XP can't support a good deal of the hardware I've used to build systems, so, that's fault #1.

I've installed and customized Vista on 5 systems, 3 for friends (2 laptops, 2 desktops), and my own. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with Vista if you have an UP TO DATE system (1+ gig ram, HT processor minimum).

Most people whining about Vista aren't even whining about 'Vista', but about driver compatability, which is HARDWARE vendor related. Don't associate your "Nvidia" driver problems with Vista, associate them with Nvidia!

XP is the past, Vista is the future. It's stable, much more so than XP. It's got issues, but so did (and does) XP . The only thing I have against Vista is UAC, which is very, very easily turned off (and doesn't do a thing to affect 'security').

If you want Vista to work, update your hardware. Stop trying to use yesterday's hardware with today's OS!!!
