i’ve had the same experience as Warren. Even playing 720p didn’t work for me in any format (mpg, mp4, avi, xvid, divx).
did manage to play lower quality mpgs though, and high-res photographs, but hd-film = no-go

Major disappointment – The ScreenPlay would not play any Hi-Def video files no matter what converter software I tried. Iomega tech support was very unsupportive, saying “You’re on your own” in finding a file format that would play 1080i resolution.
