Buffalo Technology recently rolled out its LinkStation Mini – the smallest and quietest Network Attached Storage(NAS) device from Buffalo’s stable so far. Don’t let its size fool you though, as it is more than capable of storing up to 1TB of data inside courtesy of a couple of 500GB 2.5″ hard drives within. It performs admirably through a Gigabit Ethernet connection, and measuring a mere 40mm x 82mm x 135mm, it will a snap carrying it around wherever you go. Your shoulders also won’t feel like breaking as it weighs just 500 grams. Using passive cooling methods, there is no need for a fan and hence, it operates at a much quieter pace compared to other portable NAS devices.
