Solar Breeze Pool Skimmer takes some of the work out of pool maintenance

Solar Breeze Pool Skimmer

When I was a kid, I was lucky enough to have a pool. I was excited when my parents informed me that we would be getting one, and it was awesome jumping in it that first time. Of course it also meant that I had the task of keeping the pool clean. What I wouldn’t have given back then to have a couple of handy gadgets to do my work for me.

This Solar Breeze Pool Skimmer will float about your pool and take on the task of skimming out leaves, bugs and other things floating along the surface of the water. It will pretty much keep to itself and wander around the pool without any additional help from you, except to empty it out now and then. What’s more is that it draws power from the sun, so there’s no need to worry about batteries.

At first this sounded like a cool gadget, but then I realized that it just skims the top of the water and nothing else. Of all the tasks I had to do for pool maintenance, skimming it was the easiest. There’s no way I’d shell out $450 for one of these.

The Solar-Breeze is more than just a cool expensive gadget that replaces a dinky hand-held mesh net. The Solar-Breeze skims the top of the pool keeping the bottom of your pool from rarely (or ever) getting dirty. With that said, you don’t ever have to run your pool pump as long which saves us a ton of money on our electric bill. The best thing about it, it’s completely green and can be used any season, keeping our pool clean all year long.

Maybe this should also have a pool light in it to soften the price point. Add a few led’s to the bottom and expand the solar panels at the top would easily do the trick.
