It is not a standard. I wouldn't buy in to it just yet. Yes companies like Cisco are already deploying preDraftN WiFi systems for 2.4ghz and 5ghz. I just don't think it's a good idea just yet. Next year in 2009 they will hopefully finalize it. I wouldn't buy a cool sports car in conceptual drawings only to find out that when it does come out it is actually a mini-van.
