Why don’t you just pour some in the sink? Best way to know if milk’s off.

Pour it in the sink and run some water. If the milk mixes with the water, it’s fine. If the milk turns into white flakes that float in the water, it’s off.

Cost would be a big factor, of course. Though I can’t imagine it’s much cheaper than my family’s solution–the question, “Is this still good?”, accompanied with a glass of milk, package of ground beef, or some other food item thrust at me for inspection.

This should be “drunk” to be grammatically correct.

Sorry to divert this from the milk subject , but it is hard to ignore.
