Laser Harp built from scratch

by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, DIY Gadgets, Robot Gadgets

laser-harp.jpgNow here’s a musical instrument that will definitely make your day – a Laser Harp. Created by Stephen Hobley, this guy was inspired by Jean Michael Jarre stringing his highly theatrical Laser Harp live 22 years ago, and has finally achieved his dream of building one just like it. The Laser Harp can be built for less than $600, although you will need to pick up the $19 Laser Harp Plans and Source Code first. The “strings” on the Laser Harp doesn’t really make any sound as they’re just triggers for notes that are produced on a MIDI. Can someone make a Laser Guitar to woo a 21st century Juliet?
