BlackBerry could take touchscreen route

Word on the street has it that Research In Motion (RIM) might be working on a touchscreen BlackBerry if a fair number of its customers want a device like that. While further details are still unavailable, the top management has shown signals that they try to be sensitive to customers’ demands. With the iPhone doing great in the US at the moment and other devices taking the touchscreen route, this might actually come true. I don’t know about you, but seeing a BlackBerry without a QWERTY keypad will definitely take some getting used to. Do you think RIM will take the plunge or stick to its guns?
