New battery and installation for MacBook Air will only run $129

MacBook Air

I was pretty harsh on Apple’s new Macbook Air yesterday, which feels a little odd for me. I’m generally an Apple enthusiast and give them the benefit of the doubt on new products. However, that doesn’t mean that I won’t go on a rant when they release something like this that just doesn’t seem like a logical purchase. Anyway, I thought I’d give an update on one negative feature that I pointed out in my post yesterday concerning the battery.

While it is true that the battery is not user-replaceable, Apple isn’t going to charge you an arm and a leg to get it replaced. The cost for a new battery is $129, which includes installation. I know a lot of people (myself included) were worried that it would cost several hundreds of dollars just to have something like this replaced.

Unfortunately for road warriors that like to carry around a spare battery, you’re still out of luck. On the bright side you will be able to squeeze five hours of work time out of it.

The battery is just ONE expansion on this “milk the market for all its worth” piece of crap.

There’s no CD/DVD drive, no HD-DVD, no Blu-Ray, no YUV output, and STILL no proper default NTFS DOS.

Which means you’ll be buying a 15 dollar DVD expansion drive in a crappy plastic Apple casing for 150-200 bucks, and a 100 dollar HD-DVD or Blu Ray reader for 300-400 bucks.

Want to bet that the Apple blu ray burner costs 1000 bucks plus for a 400 dollar drive?

Steve Jobs is a career criminal. A thief on a grand scale who has done nothing but lie, cheat, and steal from day one.

His very first business deal with his friend and partner Steve Wozniak, he stole 90% of what they earned when they were supposed to split 50/50. And he’s just gotten worse since then.

NOW, he doesn’t settle for just stealing from the consumer and his friends. He steals from his investors too by engaging in insider trading via back dated stock sale and purchase options.

He should be in prison where he can get what he deserves from a well endowed rapist. After all, he’s been raping the public for decades…
