I have used tomtom rider 2 for 5 months now and have found all the features great for standard navigation. The only feature I was disappointed with was the buddy system which allows you to locate your buddy (who also requires a Tomtom GPS) This does not work, a number of times contacts by myself (and my buddy) to Tomtom tech help failed to get the feature to work.
On the up side I found by purchasing a bluetooth earpeice I am able to hook up and use the nav feature in the car without haveing to purchase the in-car kit
