My four-year-old son has a Leapster and he loves it. He often asks me to watch him while he plays and it always amazes me as to how much he learns from it. He's awesome!

Man, you said it! My 5-year-old has one and he's the same way with it. We got some of the cartridges and he's off and running any time he can get it in his hands. As you said, it's great for trips, and if the noise bothers you, the sound will turn off. The hardest part for us has been finding games that will interest him in the first place (he's all about Batman, Spiderman, etc - but he'll even play the ones he calls "baby games" sometimes). Fortunately they have some of those types of games, all educational, so he can really get into it.
