EasyChair WorkStation keeps you entertained on sick days

Although this EasyChair WorkStation does have plenty of uses for those who just don’t feel like getting out of bed in the morning, it also has practical uses as well. Anyone that is chronically ill or injured badly enough will likely have days they can only lay in certain positions. Which means either no getting out of bed, or at least laying in something a bit more comfortable. While stuck in bed or on the couch, if you’re usually the busy type watching TV would probably get old at least after the first day if not sooner.

TurnSmart Mirror System
The TurnSmart Mirror System brings up road safety by another notch, thanks to a set of small stick-on wide angle mirrors that feature solar-powered blinking LED lights in order to improve your visibility whenever you want to make a turn. I know that more expensive new vehicles already come with this feature, but that doesn’t mean older vehicles cannot be retro-fitted with a $149.95 device.
These small wide-angle mirrors with very bright LEDs attach to your present side-view mirrors and operate along with your regular turn-signal lights. They help to alert cars in your blind spots of your intentions to change lanes. These safety mirrors with blinking lights are easy to install. They’re self-contained, solar powered units – so no wires into vehicle from mirrors. The small transmitter is easily installed in trunk or under rear bumper.
I wonder whether they have versions for motorcyclists and folks who prefer pedal power.

Swinging USB microSD memory card reader

No, this swinging USB microSD memory card reader doesn’t go around fornicating with just about any other memory cards in the market, but is faithful to just the microSD format throughout it’s lifetime. Dubbed the Magic Swing Alpha, it is available in the Korea market and is marketed primarily as a 3G cell phone charm. I have absolutely no idea how much this will cost, but judging by just how cheap memory card readers are in the market these days, this shouldn’t even cause a noticeable dent in your finances.

Aurora concept sprinkler system

How many sprinkler systems are actually nice to look at? Well, should the Aurora concept sprinkler system actually make it off the manufacturing line, it will definitely make the grade as an aesthetically pleasing safety device. It merges both LED lights as well as a sprinkler system, offering you adequate light during times of emergency. This leads me to question why current emergency systems don’t do that, offering separate components instead? Well, the Aurora harnesses kinetic energy of water that flows through the turbine, converting it into electricity to power the LED so that whichever room it is in will be illuminated and hence providing a higher chance for people to find the exit. Would be nice to see it include a hidden spycam for use during non-emergency moments.
Garmin Astro GPS Dog Tracking System
Garmin does not only come up with navigation solutions for those who have a bad sense of direction on the road (and maybe even in life), as they cater to pet owners as well with the latest DC 30 GPS dog tracking collar that is meant to be used with the Astro GPS Dog Tracking System. This new collar offers a toughness that is superior to its predecessor, and you get differently position antennas for optimal tracking. According to Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales, “The new DC 30 collar is designed to stand up to the torturous abuse of hunting dogs. Whether it’s hounds crashing through thick and swampy woods, or bird dogs bounding through dense CRP fields, the DC 30 is made to take the beating that working dogs dish out daily. And the new configuration also makes mounting the collar a cinch – while improving reception.”

TurnSmart Mirror System

I sit in my 15 year old Suburu, glancing at my fellow drivers with envy. Look at all of them with their fancy rear view mirrors and their LED turn signals. Psh, like I would want something like that anyway. Don’t look at me that way! No need for smugness! I already know you have a nicer car, no need to rub it in that you’re better looking and most likely better in bed too.
But there’s a few tricks up my sleeve which might just make me feel a little better about my crap-mobile, even if it’s not nearly as chic as the real thing. The TurnSmart Mirror System adds a set of wide rear view mirrors onto your current mirrors. These mirrors also happen to feature solar panels which power a set of super bright LED’s which sync with your turn signal. Solar panels! How about that, Mr. Smug Driver?!

Blizzard Announces Diablo 3: Say Goodbye To The Next 5 Years Of Your Life

First it was Starcraft 2 and now it’s Diablo III? It’s like my junior high years all over again. Now if only the most responsibility I had was still handing in homework. They’ve finally done it. After eight long years since the release of the hugely popular Diablo 2, Blizzard announced Diablo 3 at their annual Worldwide Invitational in Paris today.
No, it’s not going to be a traditional MMO like many were claiming it would be. Rather, it is relying on the same old hack and slash dungeon style of the first two games in the series. To the untrained eye, the new outing looks graphically similar to Diablo 2, much how Starcraft 2 resembles the gameplay of the original. But fear not fellow demon slayers. Don’t let the traditional Diablo UI turn you off.
