LifeLites eLite LED kits

LifeLites’ eLite LED kits are more than ready to be incorporated into LEGO models, using wires to send power to LEDs which are nestled within tiny Technic pegs so that they won’t look unsightly in the final product. A Basic kit is available to power the lights, while the slight more expensive Advanced kit will come with 9 different modes with flash, fade and flicker being among some of the functions available. You will need a 9-volt battery box regardless of which eLite kit you want to pick up, so be prepared to fork out somewhere between $50 to $80 for a decent setup.

e-Snake Scooter that Tilts
The e-Snake is a scooter that is powered by lithium ion batteries. The scooter features a tilting mechanism which allows it to corner quicker while keeping the back wheels on the floor. It participated in Formula Electric and Hybrid in Italy last year and was awarded top marks for acceleration and speed. With it being electric, the scooter weighs quite a bit at 357 pounds. With that hefty weight it can still have a range of 62 miles which is ample for most people travelling to and from the office each day.

Generacion Y: Yoani Sanchez Blog Blocked from Cuba
The Cuban Internet Police has blocked Generacion Y, one of the top blogs on Cuba that belongs to Yoani Sanchez.
The reason for the blocking is pretty obvious: criticizing the new big boss of Cuba – Raul Castro.
Censorship is acting up on the internet, and users from Cuba only get an error message instead of being able to normally visit “Generacion Y” and read the content. But since we’re talking about the internet, there is always a way to overcome the problem.

I recently spent some quality time with the MyVu personal media viewer. It’s an interesting gadget; I’ve not experienced video on the move like that before. Check out the full review on our sister site Coolest Reviews.
Plug and Play HD Video Instant Messenger coming

Communicating with your family and friends over an instant messaging program is one of the cheaper (or even free) ways to keep in touch across a few thousand miles. Unfortunately, technology hasn’t exactly caught up with the high definition craze that is sweeping across living rooms in Europe and the US – until now, at least. Quanta and ooVoo have teamed up to offer high-quality, real-time video communication over the Internet, as long as you have a HDTV or notebook . Guess girlfriends who are talking to their boyfriends over this new technology will have to put even more foundation on their faces in order to hide the zits that seem to sprout up like nobody’s business.

ECTACO releases jetBook
ECTACO, a New York-based electronics company has just released the jetBook device, ushering reading into the 21st century. I don’t think that such a device will replace entire libraries at homes across America anytime soon, but ECTACO is pretty optimistic about their chances, touting the jetBook to “kiss your old-fashioned, dusty library goodbye and say hello to the jetBook – the clean, smart, eco-friendly way to read. Get ready to have more space on your shelves at home, in your luggage when you travel, and on your bedside table too.” What do you think? More details from the press release are available after the jump.

MIU HDPC Smartphone could be the Smartest

I have recently upgraded myself to smartphones. I have the Samsung SCH-i760 and my wife has the LG Voyager, but this HDPC from MIU could beat them all. After all, it has more features than you can shake a regular dumb-phone at.
For starters, it has a 4-inch, 800 x 400 touchscreen display which is revealed when opened, as well as a QWERTY thumbpad and mouse. The user also will find stereo speakers, a docking port, as well as two USBs.
