Hidden Camera Detector for the paranoid

Is someone out to get you? Perhaps the government has reason to be looking in on your daily activities. More than likely no one is looking in on your every move, it’s just paranoia. However, if you’re convinced that someone is prying into your personal life, you might want to pick up this Hidden Camera Detector for some peace of mind.

NavDock A Great Alternative to AppleTV
Yes, we’re all still coming down from the Macworld announcements high and now we’re looking at the cold, hard reality of what we really got from this year’s Macworld. Take the AppleTV, for instance. Sure, you can use your iPod and navigate music and videos and even rent movies through it. It’s still quite expensive for not having any DVR capabilities or the ability to read media on a disc.

There’s a great alternative that you can use on your television to watch your videos and music from your iPod. The Tekkeon NavDock is (according to the official website) “a Home Media Center with On-TV Navigation for iPod.” The NavDock “lets you navigate your iPod through an on-TV menu to play videos, photos and music on a connected television.”
The NavDock also supports the following models of the iPod: Continue reading » NavDock A Great Alternative to AppleTV
The Coolest Cat Flap

Do you have a feline friend at home, if so he should have his own little door and this is the coolest one I’ve found to date, the Elite Super Selective Cat Flap.
The elite cat flap is compatible (not sure if that’s the right word) with up to 8 cats and can be programmed to allow your different cats in and out access at different times of the day. It also has an LCD display so that you can instantly see which cats are in and which ones are out, cool!
Further info can be found at Pet Mate, who also do a version for your dog. For the ultimate in cat tech you could always combine it with the automated rotating litter tray or would that be a bit OTT.
Asus announces three new products in their “E” line

It comes as no surprise that in the wake of the success Asus found with their Eee PC, others are already trying to cash in with similar products. Asus isn’t sitting idle, they’ve got their own plans to keep their sales up. In addition to adding Windows XP to their current sub-notebook, they’re planning on branching out with other low-cost computers.

Pedestrian Turn Signals
The lowest common denominator for road users would be pedestrians, and unlike other modes of transport, peds don’t need no turn signals.
Everything is controlled by a hand-held control center. Wanna make a left turn with people behind you? Press the left button, and your left ear lights up and flashes. Want to make a right turn with a group of Japanese tourists heading straight for you? Press the right button and your right eye will flash. And if you want to back up, hit both rear buttons at the same time. (remember to say “beep, beep, beep” as you do it)
Ah, I wonder how many people would actually pick this up. Apparently, quite a few as even at $8.99 each, they’re all sold out for the moment.
