Pac-Man lights up your world

Damn! Now why didn’t they have this during Christmas? Check out this Pac-Man lights that are truly a blast from the past while lighting up your world at the same time. I guess the little yellow fellow did just that back when you were a teen, hanging out at sleazy arcades although the glow from the arcade cabinet could not quite compare to this. Thanks to French lighting company Remake Design, these interlocking light blocks consist of colored ghosts, dots, as well as everybody’s favorite pie chart – Pac-Man. A set of four blocks will cost somewhere in the region of 1,200 quarters – that’s $300 for the mathematically-challenged.

Multimodal Portable Timer/Alarm Clock
Do you happen to have a hearing impaired person in your home who finds it pretty hard to wake up by him/herself? After all, what happens when nobody else is at home and the batteries on the vibrating pillow died? Fret not – there is the Multimodal Portable Timer/Alarm Clock.
Our Portable Timer/Alarm is great for the hearing-impaired — simply switch it to vibration and/or flashing light mode. Use the alarms in any combination or all three at once! You also get two timers in one. Set it as an hour/minute timer or minute/second timer at the flick of a switch. Time up to 20 hours and/or 100 minutes. Timer counts up and down, pauses, and restarts. Extra-large LCD screen makes it easy to read day or night. Perfect as a bedside clock, travel alarm, kitchen timer, medication reminder and more.
It is powered by a couple of AAA batteries and retails for $16.98. I suspect this isn’t just meant for those who are hard of hearing as folks who find it difficult to wake up with mere sound could do with a nice vibration.

E Ink Corporation shares advances in flexible display program
E Ink Corporation is a well known name in the world of electronic paper display technology, and has recently announced its flexible display program at a recent symposium. According to E Ink, their partner LG. Philips LCD has just introduced the highest resolution 14.3″ flexible color display in the world at the recently concluded CES which used E Ink’s Vizplex Imaging Film and LG.Philip’s very own metal foil and plastic substrate backplace. The result of this amalgamation measures less than 300 micrometers thin without compromising on performance – you get a resolution of 1,280 x 800 which is completely rollable and bendable, with the image not suffering from distortion of any sort.

Lavatory Navigator
I suppose wives who are fed up with their husbands for having a permanently malfunctioning aiming system will be thankful for the Lavatory Navigator, or LavNav for short.
The LavNav turns on when you approach in the dark, and turns off after you leave, shining with gentle yet sufficient light where you need it, when you need it. The Lav Nav makes the toilet a lot safer and easier to use at night without irritating your partner. Bathroom lights can be painfully bright in the middle of the night. So why switch them on?
No idea on how much the LavNav costs though.
Digital Measuring Tape
Moving into a new home can be very exciting – but getting all the right measurements can be quite the pain! Just like scales and even the speedometer, it is best to get something more accurate in a digital format compared to an analog dial, and this is where the Digital Measuring Tape comes in.
The Digital Measuring Tape features a large easy to read display that is capable of memorizing your measurements with the push of a button. It can give measurements in either feet and inches or metric units and will even display fractions of an inch (as small as 1/16th) just like a standard tape measure. There is also a setting for adding the case length for taking inside measurements. The Digital Measuring Tape turns on and off automatically, when the tape is extended (on) or fully retracted back into the case (off).
You get 16 feet with the Digital Measuring Tape along with five different measurement formats. ThinkGeek is carrying it for $24.99.
