Moxia USBCell AA Batteries

Moxia USB Batteries

I still think that it is amazing that we still use good old fashioned AA batteries. Well, actually, they aren’t really good old fashioned, because they intend to drain quickly.

I mean, my cell uses a special battery, but some mobile devices are still powered by this tube-shaped thing. Of course you can always buy those more expensive (yet worth it) rechargeable batteries, but you’ll need a charger.

Or you could buy the Moxia Energy USBCells that will allow you to recharge your AA batteries from something everyone has: a USB port. All you need to do is put the little USB cap on your battery, then plug it into the USB port.

I’m not certain if this USB Caps will work on any battery, but there are LED lights that tell you when the battery level is below 90%. Then it lets you know when it is almost all the way charged, and then it goes all the way. Charged, that is.

They can charge for about 7 hours with a 250mA current, and it takes 1-2 hours to charge it completely. You may want to make certain that you can charge them on USB ports that are to the left and right of each other. If they are stacked up and down, you won’t be able to fit two of them together.

The caps won’t work on just any battery. If you look closer, you can see the cap is REMOVED to charge the battery and put on to actually use it as a battery. I definitely like the idea.
