It takes the VGA signal and converts it to HDMI, which looks pretty dang good.

Unfortunately this adapter does not convert the signal to Digital. It still remains an analog signal and only changes the interface by which the signal runs.

You're still getting a component signal, just plugging it into a different slot.

Geez. For $90, I'll just break my 360 and use the extended warranty to get one of the new ones with the built-in HDMI.

This new adapter is a TOTAL SCAM and a slap in the face to existing 360 owners. I'd pay $20 for this, but $90????????????

Get real, greedy Microsoft. Enjoy my "broken" Xbox and the costs to repair it.

I have two 360's, one with HDMI and one without. Personally, I cannot tell the difference between them on either my Sony Bravia LCD or my Panasonic Plasma. I really don't believe that HDMI offers any benefit other than a smaller cable to run through the wall if you are wall-mounting the television. Visually I don't believe there is a difference.

That's just my opinion though.
