I like this idea for my sprinklers but I don't use UPB - Does anyone know if they make something similar for Insteon or X10?

Any controller that lets you program from a browser is going to be easier to use than a timer box.

Here's one that's more of a scheduling service than a gadget: www.lawncheck.com This gives you multiple programs, seasonal control, and local weather control by zip. It's interesting, though you'll need always-on Internet if you want to use it, and you'll have to know a little about networking. If you do use it, it should help save on your water bill, and help you with water conservation.

cheers,
