Custom DVD

Now this is what I call a stocking stuffer. In partnership with Ritz Camera, a company called Luciodium is creating custom DVDs of animated TV adventures that incorporate your child into the action. The animated adventures are based on The Amazing Spiderman, Dora the Explorer, and Barney. And just in time for the holidays, there is a specially made holiday adventure with Santa Claus. Other character adventures feature the Care Bears, Arthur, Baby Geniuses. Here’s how it works.

Kids photo

Bringing along a close up picture of your child, customers visit camera stores like Ritz Camera Centers and look for the Lucidiom Automated Photo Machine (APM). Inputting the photograph, the customer chooses the desired movie and character and the APM machine then sends the photos via the internet to Lucidiom for incorporating and burning to DVD. Seven to twelve days later, you can pick up a custom-made video starring your child as a main character. The DVDs last about thirty minutes.
The Christmas Adventure is priced at $29.95, while the adventures featuring Spiderman, Dora the Explorer and Barney run slightly more at $34.95. Orders must be placed by Dec 12th to ensure delivery to store by Dec 24th.
