I'm a colorblind engineer and usually have great difficulty with color coded charts and graphs. I found a great software that lets you manipulate the colors on the screen and even highlight them by name. It's called "eyepilot" by Tenebraex and you can demo it. It worked well enough for me that I bought it. Check it out, it's cheaper than a new monitor.

Hey Chris, it's Fred (I used to write here a bit).

I'm a designer, and I too am colorblind (a fun mixture of issues in the blue/purple, and orange/red/green/brown area) so you can pretty well guess I fight a daily battle.

I can't truly fathom what difference they're going to bring to monitors, as, well,, we simply can't see the changes (ok, they can simply raise the contrast, but it doesn't help us to see as others see (unless you shift the whole light spectrum to match up to others colors, and to do that each screen would have to be individually calibrated).

I too would love to give it a try, but there's a reason its called color blind, it's because we cannot see certain colors, (Without tricking ourselves).

Plus, how would we do photoshop correctly (I already use the eyedropper to prove what I think is a certain color, is indeed in the color wheel where I think it should be).

We'll see!
