For the reviewer: the "giant in-line control box" is there in case you have to "re-tune" the mouse because it gets' sluggish, etc.". Just press the button on the "control box" and within 10 seconds the mouse is "tuned-up". The lights on the "control box" are there to monitor the "status" of the mouse: the RED led indicates the RF pad has POWER and the GREEN LED will flash as the mouse is moved on the pad, indicating a good RF link from the mouse to the receiver in the pad.

I have to disagree to, this mouse is brilliant, you get the benefit of not having to tug on your mouse cable, without the hassle of changing batteries.
This mouse is great for photo editing, smoother mouse movements without that cabble resisting against your movements !!!!

Gotta say, you are wrong on this one. I've been using this mouse for over a year and it is GREAT. No batteries to fool with (rechargeable or otherwise), and no docking station...just leave the mouse laying on the pad. It's really no hassle at all. I love this thing, and that's after going through a lot of mice over the past 20+ years.

Much better for the environment to use those USBCELL batteries, can be used like regular AA batteries but can be recharged from a USB plug, saving money and battery waste.

They have been given numerous awards and are up for a top UK Energy Efficiency award
