Problem is that it blocks the sensor so you can’t really swing the saber around. You still need the nun chuk to move and have to press B on the remote to swing. So it’s really only for show.

[...] The force is with Wii, Light Saber Attachment. To be perfectly honest, I was completely unaware that such a thing existed until a buddy of mine showed me it at school. It seems that with the release of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Play.com is launching yet another shell for the Wii remote just for this game. The only question worth asking now is…. why not? That is the gadget in all it’s glory. This sword has 22 super bright LED’s that are powered by 3 AA batteries (separate to the Wii remote batteries). The only downside that I’m sure you Star Wars fanatics are probably going to cry over is the lack of a "light saber noise" when you swing the controller. Well I don’t want to confirm that there won’t be, just that my source didn’t mention anything regarding it. The Wii Light Sword will be available for $31.00, when however was not specified.
