AirLive WN-5000R unveiled
by Edwin
AirLive announced its WN-5000R Draft 2.0-capable 802.11n wireless router that stakes its claim to fame by producing a rather noticeable increase in real-world speed courtesy of a combination of multiple-in, multiple-out antennas and optimized transmitters that produces 120Mbps of usable bandwidth. Not only is it up to half a dozen times faster than the practical speed of 802.11g, it also offers a much longer range. The low-profile WN-5000R makes it a cinch to fit it into a tightly-packed setup without any problem. Other features include a quartet of 100Mbps Ethernet ports and WEP/WPA encryption. No word on availability but it ought to make its way through resellers in the US soon.
