Confidisc simplifies proceedings

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look as though the Confidisc will make injections with a hypodermic syringe any less painful than before. The Confidisc is actually a plastic disc that fits over the needle of a hypodermic syringe, blocking the view of the needle. This claims to psychologically reduce the pain perception that is often associated with self-administered injections. You can choose from one that fits over a syringe or another that has already been molded onto the syringe itself in order to intravenous drug use.

We beg to differ…. Confidisc does make most injections less painful. Most pain is experienced during injection when fear causes hesitation. Pain may also be caused due to instability. Confidisc helps to solve both issues.
In our testing an average person was given a new syringe without confidisc. They hesitated and stopped as soon as the syringe needle touched the skin. They were then given a new syringe with Confidisc. They simply focused on bringing the disk to the skin, completely eliminating hesitation and pain. The disk also provides a stable platform for users.
Please note, the last line of the article should read “in order to deter intravenous drug use”.
Thank you very much.
