Universal Music to sell singles on USB drives

Universal Music is taking a different approach where selling singles are concerned – by releasing them on USB memory sticks. This new format aims to stop rapidly declining music sales by offering an alternative format to those in the 12 to 24 year old demographic. The price of each USB single will hover slightly above $10, which is roughly $4 higher than current CD singles. Don’t these guys get it yet – the good days are over, and digital media distribution is the way of the future. Why not learn how to embrace it by operating in a leaner and more efficient manner instead of chasing after something that is bound to fail?
