Sony Ericsson releases scented cellphones

October 17th, 2007 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets, Mobile Phones

aroma-phone.jpgSony Ericsson in Japan has just released the DoCoMo SO703i handset that not only comes with some pretty high end features, it smells great too. Some of the specifications include GPS navigation, a built-in TV, and music player functions, and are available in nine colors including Romantic Gold, Exotic, Twilight, Flow and Gorgeous. The question is - where does the fragrance come from? You can place a scented strip near the central hinge, which can work up to three months before a replacement is required. Guess this will be a Japan only handset like any other DoCoMo offerings. Would be nice to see this make its way across the Pacific though.
