Digital cameras that record video into the DivX format aren’t exactly very common. The Pentax A40 brings that function to the average consumer, featuring 3x zoom, a 12 megapixel rating, as well as mechanical shot stabilization for those who have shaky hands whenever they try to capture an image of that hottie at a convention. DivX recording definitely makes this worth your money as you can then distribute it over a torrent network without having to go through any encoding process. Additional functions include face recognition with Natural Skin Tone mode and a Half-Length Portrait mode that uses any spare pixels above to autocrop a photo to shoulder length.
