There is a new portable media player in town (or China, at least), with the unveiling of the Newman E350 portable media player that comes with touchscreen capability for supposedly easier navigation. Definitely the user interface won’t be as refined as the ones you see on the iPod Touch, but at least there’s some sort of progress going on here. Features of the E350 include a 3.6″ 16 million color TFT display, support for a wide range of audio video formats, and e-book support. No idea if this will make its way to Europe or to the US, but it shouldn’t be too heavy on your pockets if they do.
