I don’t have a guide dog, and am a cane user. not a dumb cane, because it’s got me on the other end, so it’s as smart as I am. frankly, I don’t see what this design would add to cane travel. it’s not obstacles on the ground that i don’t detect, but anything at head height. 6 hour battery life is a joke.

This is a great idea. I am significantly visually impaired and I am excited to see such a product. I would never believe it will replace dogs but I am sure it will change lives. The six hour battery is great, I never walk that long in one day myself. One of the greatest challenges is walking around and trying to maintain my own safety. This would make my world better. Please do everthing you can to bring a product like this that WILL change lives and create greater independence to the visually impaired ASAP. Let me know when and where I can purchase one for myself.

Not sure about a price, but the Mygo could certainly benefit from a GPS system with voice activated directions (ex: Intersection of A st. and B st.). Also, 6 hour battery life? This product could easily have 20 hour battery (it’s a few feet long) at a min. and the battery could recharge as you push it around.
