For those who are interested in bringing their computing experience everywhere, a tough-as-nails notebook is definitely at the top of their shopping list. The Ruffneck PC from GE’s Fanuc Computer Dynamics subsidiary fits the bill perfectly, bringing a 15″ touchscreen LCD display that can be used even when you’re wearing a pair of gloves. It is powered by an Intel Pentium M 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 40GB hard drive. You can even replace the latter with a CF-based SSD option if your budget permits. Unfortunately, the Ruffneck PC is one heavy mother, tipping the scales at a massive 45 pounds. No idea on price, but it should be a synonym with expensive.
