The older 7" frame, which is hobbled by both a 16:9 aspect ratio (there are very few cameras which shoot 16:9), and a measly 480 X 234 resolution, would make anything look pretty bad. But for the record, I have the new eStarling 8" frame, in a full 4:3 aspect ratio, and a 800x600 resolution (one of the best out there, right at 125 ppi). It definitely depends on your source material, as well as the specific eStarling frame that you have. The older 7″ frame, which is hobbled by both a 16:9 aspect ratio (there are very few cameras which shoot 16:9), and a measly 480 X 234 resolution, would make anything look pretty bad.

But for the record, I have the new eStarling 8″ frame, in a full 4:3 aspect ratio, and a 800×600 resolution (one of the best out there, right at 125 ppi). It looks GREAT, and after trying out several other frames, I’ve been very very happy with this one.
