Vuzix iWear VR920
by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets
The iWear VR920 from Vuzix is said to offer a fully-immersive virtual reality experience whenever you get your gaming itch. It comes with a 32-degree field of view, integrated headphones and microphone, and what is touted to be the largest ever virtual screen, making it as though you were playing on a 62″ TV from 9-feet away. Resolution goes up to 1024 x 768 with the iWear VR920. I suppose wearing this while playing an FPS would be a mind blowing (literally) experience as you dodge rockets and what-nots as though you were caught in a real battlefield. If you’re interested in revitalizing your gaming sessions, the iWear VR920 can be purchased for $399.

September 12th, 2007 at 4:07 pmNever mind the gaming… could I use these to replace the traditional screen? Not necessarily mainstream (too Flash Gordon), but how about to use on planes & trains where space is limited and you might not want somebody reading over your shoulder.
