HP launches new digital photoframe

HP has a spanking new digital photoframe in town in the form of the DF model. It boasts a standard 7″ display at 800 x 480 resolution and a contrast ratio of 400 to 1, featuring an Intuitive Interface that is capable of playing music while you’re watching your favorite slideshow. Supported video formats include MPEG1 and MPEG4, while audio is limited to just MP3. As for image support, you can only view JPEG images – then again that’s not too bad since you won’t really want to see RAW images on such a small screen, would you? The DF photoframe is smart enough to orientate the image automatically, and this would probably be a decent purchase for those who are new to the digital photoframe scene. Pricing and availability details are still unknown.
