WiFire let you surf wirelessly from 1000 feet away

Wi-Fire

Face it, Starbucks is always crowded and the last thing you need is the temptation of spending a few hours in MacDonald’s around fast food and loud kids.

That’s where Wi-Fire can come in handy next time you’re looking for a hotspot. Designed by hField Technologies, the Wi-Fire uses a powerful directional antenna & receiver in concert with proprietary software to find and enhance normal Wi-Fi signals. The result is a promise of wireless Internet access from up to 1,000 feet away–three times the range of your internal wireless adapter.

Enhanced range of WiFire

Using 802.11G wireless protocols and an ultra sensitive 10.4 dBi antenna, the Wi-Fire increases the throughput, rather than decreases it as the range increases. The result is longer connection times with fewer drops and speeds up to 26mbps.

The Wi-Fire plugs in via USB and can sit on the table next to you or be clipped onto the laptop for a more “bird’s eye” view of the surrounding hotspots, some that you’d never find with conventional wireless receivers.

Available for both Windows and MAC, the Wi-Fire is a very affordable $79.00.
