Cool Camping with the Travelpod

If like me you’re not a fan of the great outdoors and camping (particularly with the current British Summer we are having here), and living for a week in a caravan fills you with dread, then Travelodge have the perfect solution – a Travelpod.

OK, it might be a bit over the top for you hardened festival goers out there, but if I was having to pitch up at a muddy camp site, I know what I’d prefer to be staying in; a luxury, portable hotel room, complete with double bed, lighting, carpets, dressing table, and most importantly of all, a flushing toilet (an absolute essential for attending a festival – I speak from experience!)

Dimensions are 6m in length by 2.4m wide and 2.6m high inside a clear polycarbonate shell.

You can check the progress on Travelodge, who are currently trialling the concept at various outdoor events and festivals and rates are an extremely reasonable £26 per night.
