The Lotus Flower Table Lamp

Lotus Flower Lamp

The Lotus flower has always been a powerful symbol of spiritual enlightenment in the mythologies of India and Egypt, and now it is the inspiration for a unique table lamp that will fill your living room with a soothing lightning effect. The light bulbs are placed inside the petals, and the light reveals the beauty of the flower’s design.

According to mythology, the Lotus flower grew from the mud but maintained its splendor and purity, representing the triumph of beauty and clarity over the evils of the world, but you don’t have to be a Buddhist to fully appreciate the magic of this design, for the pictures speak for themselves. Even if you pay no attention to all the symbolic meaning of the lotus flower, the indirect illumination provided by this lamp is really fascinating.

There is no need to assemble the lamp, all you need to do is put the light bulb and turn it on. This lamp may not elevate you to a higher spiritual level, but it’ll surely make you relax with its mysterious shade.

The lamp measures 15.75″ in diameter and 21.65″ in height. You can buy yours from J. Pulse (site translated by Google) for 13,300 Yens (about US$ 115).

This is just the Ikea Knappa light shade upside down! Incidentally, the Ikea version is only 12.99GBP.

Hardly an original design.
