Logitech Pure-Fi Dream speaker announced

Logitech has just dropped an announcement concerning the Pure-Fi Dream Premium Bedroom Music System for iPod, bringing a whole new level of iPod speakers to the bedroom. Not only does it offer top notch audio, the Pure-Fi Dream also features both motion and light sensing technology in addition to an integrated AM/FM radio and a dual alarm with battery backup, making this pair of speakers the perfect resident to accompany your bedside table. According to Jen Holove, general manager and vice president of Logitech’s audio business unit, “Pure-Fi Dream is our most thoughtful and sophisticated design for iPod users. Though people use their iPods in the bedroom more than anywhere else, until today, a high-quality, iPod bedroom speaker system did not exist. First and foremost an impressive audio platform, the Pure-Fi Dream will make listening to iPod music in a bedroom a great experience any time of day. And at night, with its innovative light- and motion-sensing technology, as well as its alarm clock, the Pure-Fi Dream is the ideal bedroom system for iPod lovers.”
Features of the Pure-Fi dream include 0.75″ high-definition, soft-dome tweeters and 3-inch high-power, long-throw woofers to bring you audio like you’ve never heard before in such a diminutive package. The utilization of Logitech’s StereoXL technology enables listeners to enjoy a wider soundfield that creates a quality audio experience. The unique motion-sensing technology (somehow this aspect seems to pop up more and more after the Wii’s unprecedented success) allows one to control the Pure-Fi dream in a dark room, where the motion sensitive backlit control buttons will automatically light up whenever you wave your hand over the top of the speaker. This makes it a whole lot easier to use the Pure-Fi Dream without having pesky bright lights keeping you (and maybe even your partner) awake.
If you’re interested in picking one up, it will be available Stateside when November rolls around, retailing for the recommended retail price of $249.99.
