Wibrain B1 UMPC

Wibrain has just let reporters have a sneak peek of its business-oriented UMPC, the B1. This UMPC comes in a rectangle form factor that won’t win any awards for looks, but it does pack some decent computing power underneath its hood. What you get includes a VIA C7M ULV CPU/VX700 GPU for a respectable performance at a moderate price. Features include WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, a VGA camera, as well as quad-band support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band HSDPA. The B1 will hit Korean markets in the middle of October and will retail between $650 and $760, depending on the hardware configuration selected.

August 30th, 2007 at 4:31 amI got the unit before the launch in korea, I have been using it for about 2 weeks and the functions are great, The speed of the unit was almost like my regular notebook PC, I travel alot around the world and was looking for a fast PC. I ran across this unit in korea, and found that the user interface like the keyboard and the dual touchpad and touchscreen was one of the greatest ideas seen so far. I didn’t have to lay it down to use it. i could do everything while holding it. The unit had great power. I think this one is a keeper.
