Darth Vader and Yoda Talking Statues on your Dashboard
by Nick in Toys, Vehicle Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets
If you’re another Star Wars freak just like me, I’m sure you’ll appreciate this Star Wars figures meant to live on the dashboard of your car. You can choose between Darth Vader, Master Yoda and C3PO. Each character has it’s own lines, but if I had to choose one of these statues, it would be surely Yoda: “Do, or do not. There is no try” or “Size matters not, for my ally is The Force”. You can always go for “You underestimate the power of the Dark Side” ou “I find your lack of faith disturbing” from Lord Vader himself.
If you don’t want to use it on your dashboard, or if you don’t have a car, you can always use it in other places such as in your desk by the side of the notebook, and all you need to do to hear is hit the button to hear the Star Wars quotes. But when used in the dashboard of a car there’s a really cool function that makes the figure to say a phrase when you hit a bump on the road! You better be careful not to cause an accident with that!
If you’re curious, check out the video of Darth Vader cursing a poor guy driving his the car:

August 17th, 2007 at 1:38 pmI have the Yoda one, but the vibration sensor is far too sensitive, making it go off constantly as I drive.
I reduced the sensitivity by adding an electrolytic capacitor in parallel to the sensor, but I also need to add a resistor and diode to drain the capacitor - currently, it’s okay until the cap fills up, then it goes into constant nagging mode again.
