The Magic Wheel – Part Board, Part Scooter, All Fun

Magic Wheel

You don’t often see new types of transportation but the Magic Wheel is like nothing I’ve seen before, it’s bit like a skate board with one massive and one tiny wheel, then again it also looks a bit like a unicycle.

The story behind the magic wheel goes like follows:

A couple of years ago a Swiss designer was bored and was also sick and tired of everyone whizzing around on aluminum scooters so he thought sod it and retired to the garden shed for a while! The end result is staggering out came a sleek, sexy scooter that when mastered made travelling effortless and at the same time grabbed everyones atttention!

To get a better idea of what it’s all about, check the video:

Magic Wheel – The Swiss Do It Again

There’s something about Swiss designers and weird transportation, something good. First we had the Bikeboard and now it’s the Magic Wheel – a unicycle / skatebaord kind of hybrid.
Here’s a short video demonstration of the Magic Wheel…

The Magic Wheel is a hungarian invention. The designer is also hungarian! Who is the swiss designer who were bored? May I know him?
Best regards, G.András from Hungary

András: It’s probably from here: http://www.magicwheel.co.uk/id39.html

Gőczey András Says: January 6, 2008 at 6:31 pm

Here is the link to prove that the Magic Wheel was invented by Hungarians! The swiss make good cheeses and watches , but the garden shed story is bulls…!

Coolest gadget of the week! That is for sure. I can see communities joining in on this fun. It certainly beats the light weight scooters we now see today.
