Carpet Alarm Clock concept

by Edwin

carpet-alarm.jpg

We have covered our fair share of alarm clocks on Coolest Gadgets thus far, and some of them boasted truly kooky ideas that were actually implemented into the manufacturing line. The Carpet Alarm Clock is an interesting take, forcing you to get out of bed and stepping on it before the alarm is turned off. Yes sir, you can’t just press the snooze button no more and postpone the inevitable with this. Unfortunately, the Carpet Alarm Clock remains a concept as at press time. I wonder how much is the minimum weight required to turn this thing off? If the requirements aren’t too rigid, you can always throw a pillow or chair at it. No idea if this thing is washable or not, considering how there is an LCD display on it that tells the time.

Quite a good idea :)

Like the idea, but I’d probably figure out (after a few painful mornings) how to move my foot, pillow, or any other handy object to just the right spot in order to turn it off. :P
