Salient Mouse Pen

Salient Technology has recently paraded its wireless mouse pen better known as the VM-203. This device targets designers, although regular home users could give this a shot (I doubt they’d stick with it though). What you get is an ergonomic pointing peripheral that comes with a rubberized grip for higher precision, 1,000 DPI optical resolution, and a couple of independent mouse buttons, all working over 2.4GHz RF technology within a 10 meter radius. There is no need for pesky drivers – all you need to do is plug-and-play. Do you think this will be all the rage among designers, or is it just another gimmick to capture your attention for but a fleeting moment?

I bought 2 of the Salient mouse pens a couple of years ago and I can’t live without them. I have one at work and one at home to help with the annoying wrist strain I was getting with the conventional mouse. This mouse allows you to put your hand/wrist in the most natural position avoiding strains when using a mouse all day.
Love it and that’s why I want to buy another.
It takes about 2 full weeks to get the hang of it. Persist, its worth it. Claudia (Australia)
