XS-Hawk– And the people who spend $20,000+ on wakeboard boats aren’t doing it “because they can”? What is your point?

Mike– do some research and you’ll find that these boats are reasonably-priced. A good kayak will set you back nearly as much and doesn’t have any moving parts.

Laurie couldn’t be more correct– as a nation we’re getting lazier, fatter and dumber by the minute. There won’t be enough energy in the future to justify sucking gas through a jetski, so get used to the idea of doing more under your own power.

Jen is right, don’t be so grumpy. Turn off that flat screen tv, get up off your couch, and try it. Some people enjoy being out in nature without polluting our lakes and streams, and also enjoy getting a bit of exercise. Don’t knock it till you try it!

@Jen: I understand why you might want something like this, but not this particular model. I’m sure you could find a sleek looking, high quality boat for less. But hey, if it works for you, by all means, pick it up.

I totally have been eyeing this thing! Not because I have more money than I know what to do with (I don’t ), but because I live near a lake and it looks like something that I cn easily load on and off the trailer myself (I”m a girl!) and it could be good exercise. The lake doesn’t allow personal watercrafts and the idea of a big old boat or a little aluminum fishing boat doesn’t appeal to me. Don’t be so grumpy.

This one most definitely falls into the “because I can” category… Its beyond “keeping up with the joneses” this projects the image (to those who know / care) that One has more money than One can effectively use…
