Hey Amigo, you lookin’ like an Xbox 360

I wonder what Amigo Technology’s designers were thinking of when they worked on the R622AG WiFi router. Were they enclosed within some high security room where no contact with the outside world was allowed for the past 3 years in order to come up with a groundbreaking design? If that was the case, then that group of designers and Microsoft’s own Xbox division have something in common, being inspired to come out with a form factor that are eerily alike.

The R622AG ain’t no games console though, as it supports 802.11a/b/g standards and comes with a couple of USB 2.0 connectors which are used to share external data or printers over a network. There is no word on price or availability as at press time, and I can’t help but speculate whether the legal eagles at Microsoft are already sharpening their knives…

Nifty but, if it can’t support a high gain external omni directional antenna I don’t care what it looks like.
