iTrainer helps with your golf swing
May 29th, 2007 by Edwin in Golf Gadgets
You can never achieve the perfect golf swing despite facts pointing otherwise in theory. Just ask Tiger Woods - even when he’s playing in a totally different person compared to his peers, he still has not achieved the perfect swing under all conditions. If you’re an avid fan of golf and want to make a quick impact in your game by learning through your mistakes in earnest, the iTrainer Golf system could be just the ticket. In a nutshell, the iTrainer is a sophisticated system that uses 3D sensors to measure all the key aspects within your swing thanks to a Bluetooth module attached to the club, comparing those results to an optimum swing profile while providing instantaneous feedback through a wireless headset.
To go into further detail, the iTrainer system can be used by both individuals and trainers, where the Sports Motion Capture Device (SMCD) hooks on to the shaft of any club. Being a mere 80g in weight, you can be assured that the club feels the same even when the SMCD is removed. Swing dynamics are captured in 3D thanks to the solid state gyroscopes, magnetometers, and accelerometers within. These information are fed back through a PDA, where the swing analysis software produces an audio feedback on how to be better in the next swing.
The iTrainer also boasts a wide range of swing profiles to accommodate the recreational, amateur, and professional segments of golfers, making it all the more effective when used under the supervision of a coach who is already familiar with your swing. Existing profiles can be customized to suit each individual, lending an air of professionalism to this device.
