Having suffered a bad back for many years I was advised to look at massage chairs. Having tried different ones at an exhibition in Excel in January, I finally decided on the Inada W.1. The reason for my choice was mainly that it gave a good massage but I was able to listen to my favourite music whilst having a massage. For the record my back is much improved.

While Inada make a great massage chairs I personally did not like the W.1. For the most part it is an i2a with a different foot rest with an amplifier and speakers. The i2a is an older chair 3 + year and uses older technology. The leg massage while aesthetically pleasing lacked the massage power of the older sibling the i2a. The leg massage in my opinion is seriously lacking. The PHP-2026 massage chair still has the best leg massage I have ever tried. The speakers on the W.1 sounded good but would not replace your earbuds or home theater system. I did not like the amplifier as it had a cheap plastic feel and only needed to be about the size of a calculator but they built this huge stand for it. For most people the stand will not be an acceptable looking part of this chair and you would not want it in you home. The chair without the stand however is very attractive looking but again lacks a good leg massage. One interesting thing to note is that the arms lift up on this chair and allow for side access for people with disabilities. To compare all the major brands of massage chairs on the market visit:
