GlowFur – fashion faux pas or new trend?

glowfur.jpgI don’t know about you, but having a line of clothes that glow in the dark isn’t exactly a turn on (pardon the pun) for me. In fact, it will probably remind me of those Apple advertisements that feature a silhouette of a person (mostly female), complete with just glowing bits of underwear. However, there are some folks out there who like living life with a little extra sense of urgency to it, and this is where the GlowFur line of items come in. Do check out the promo video here, but be warned that the content could be considered mildly NSFW in certain places.

The GlowFur catalog actually boasts a wide collection of items to choose from including purses, vests, hats, and a miniskirt/top/leggings ensemble. They’re great to bring out whenever you want to paint the town red with your mates at the hottest nightclub in town, or they can be used in the privacy of your home if you’re up for something a little more kinky than usual with your partner. They certainly don’t come cheap though, as a full length GlowFur coat will set you back by approximately $800, making you wonder whether they actually put gold or diamonds in there during production.

Actually, the fabric is powered by batteries that offer up to 10 hours of glow, all made possible by a bunch of complicated wiring that does not heat up nor electrocute you. They’re also magically machine washable, so no worries about staining these with a glass of wayward whiskey or bourbon.
