The ultimate in personal clocks
by Al in Cool Clocks, Gadget Gift Ideas
Most of the cool clocks that we write about are hi-tech or plain old quirky, this next clock is more of the personal nature, the I got clocked clock.
At first glance the “I got clocked” looks like a plain old analogue clock with a personal photo as a background. However that wouldn’t make it a cool gadget, what does is the fact that the clocks arms are those of the subject in the picture. When ordering you send them a suitable picture which they will chop and make your own arms move with the times.
The effect is actually pretty good (I was expecting it to look a bit pants but was pleasantly surprised), you can see a gallery of sample clock animations over here.
Prices start at $49.95 from I got clocked and you’ve got to admit these would make an exceedingly unique gift.

May 12th, 2007 at 6:17 pmOk, I’m sorta confused. Why are the regular hands still on there?

May 13th, 2007 at 3:26 amIn the gallery on the “I got clocked” site they did have one made from a dog but it looked the dodgiest out of all of them, though if you could get your dog to do a suitable pose it could work.
Well worked out TC :rolls eyes:

May 14th, 2007 at 2:23 amI notice the examples don’t have any times with the arms going backwards… I should think they would look pretty bent out of shape at those times, especially the couples pics.
Hmmm, considering doing a horizontal one of a swimmer, so the arms would fit any which way…
