A ring to your heart
May 10th, 2007 by David in Sport
There are so many options around if you are one of those people whom for some reason or another wish to monitor your heart rate. It may be that you are an athlete who likes check their heart for recovery purposes or maybe there is an health issue and a heart rate monitor is an essential even possibly a life saving piece of equipment. Either way getting the most accurate heart rate monitor is a must.
This ring style heart rate monitor from Taylor gifts is small and neat, wearing it on your finger gives the monitor an ideal place to do its job, without any interruptions, unlike the problems that can occur with wrist and other heart rate monitors. The tight fit ensures that there is constant pressure on the desired digit which in turn gives an accurate reading, there is nothing worse than having reading all over the place, as you cannot determine which ones are correct.
Similar the watch style heart rate monitors, the ring virtually replicates the same functions, but the size is the really cool thing, never before have I seen this type monitor scaled down to this size, of course there are the ones that have the attachment that clips onto to your finger or ear lobe, but they have a unit as well, the ring monitor is completely self contained with LCD display and can monitor a heart rate range of between 30 and 250 beats per minute.
Included in with the monitor is a stop watch and timer, so the device can be used in conjunction with an exercise regime, giving the user the ability to monitor all functions in one small place, however from the images it is hard to see the buttons, so it is not that clear to work out how easy the ring is to operate, especially if you are doing some sort of physical activity.
