I picked up the first guitar hero a couple months after it was released. I became addicted instantly, and when number 2 came out, i already had a reserved copy. I have beaten both games on expert. But the only song i have NEVER passed on expert is Buckethead’s – Jordan on guitar hero 2. Extremely fast, thousands, if not a million notes, and slams you in the face during the solo. I keep trying, but to no avail. I wonder if i’ve reached my limit?

@Sam: I’m still stuck on medium — some songs I can get 5 stars, most 4 stars, but there are still a handful that I just can’t get past the 3 star rating. I’ve tried playing Shout at the Devil on Hard and, much to my dismay, was booed off the stage rather quickly.

@Brandon: I can’t decide if I want that feature or not because it would be pretty damn cool, but I don’t want to be playing Woman 20 times just to boost my ego.

The 360 Version is interesting because of the Live Rankings. You can tell how good you are based on the best score you have gotten on each song. The Competive drive of this can cause you to lose your sanity trying to get 10 more points to move up 100 places. Nearly 500k people are ranked in the game at this point. I’m in the top 5k most days… If I’d quit my day job I could better.

Funny you’ve just picked up on Guitar Hero 2 around the same time that I did. Never seen it in action before, my mate gave me it because his ps2 broke. I played it 5 hours straight the first time and finished it on Medium before putting it down. Having grown up playing real guitar helped I guess because when I gave it to my (button bashing addicted) flatmate, he spent an hour or two getting used to it, but he’s now addicted aswel. I’m now on HARD and things are frustratingly addictive.
But I can finish Wolfmother – Woman on EXPERT, yes I’m pretty proud of myself aswel.
